Tooth Cookies!

How nice is the Mom who ordered these cookies!?  Two of her sons just had their braces removed, so she wanted to thank the orthodontist for "straightening out" her boys :)

Each tooth got a different color rubber band and the "braces" were painted with silver luster dust to make them look metallic.  I remember having braces, and choosing your rubber band colors was always a big decision.  Of course, I was a child of the 90's, so I'm pretty sure I usually had some sort of horrible neon combination :)

The cookies were packaged up with matching ribbons and shipped off to the doctor's office.  Hopefully the orthodontist and her staff enjoyed them!

Animal-themed baby shower

Recently, I helped host a baby shower for a good friend from work.  Her nursery is decorated in a super cute jungle theme, so we did a jungle themed invitation as well.  To stick with the theme, I made some mini animal cookies and some chocolate sandwich cookies for dessert.

These little guys remind me of animal crackers:

And here's a shot of the combined cookie platter:

These chocolate sandwich cookies are one of my favorite varieties.  Way better than the well-known store-bought variety!

Congrats Grads!

Congratulations to all of the 2011 graduates out there!

Whew, sorry this post is a little belated, but things have been very busy around here!  I had a couple of graduation requests this year that I've been wanting to share with you.

This set was for a University of Arizona graduation party.

And these cute little mini graduation caps were for a Hatboro-Horsham High School graduation party.

Congratulations Class of 2011!

More Baby Cookies, and a Dog Treat Recipe!

I made these cookies a while back and thought it was about time that I shared them with you!

My cousin, Diana, ordered these for a friend who had just had her first baby.  My favorite part about this order was that Diana wanted to make sure that she included her friend's dog, Oliver!

To make sure that Oliver didn't feel too overshadowed by his new baby brother, I included a bag of homemade doggie treats for him.

(I made these treats for a friend's new puppy, I forgot to take pictures of Oliver's treats!)
These peanut butter treats are always a big hit with the pups.  Plus, they're easy to make and you almost always have the ingredients in your pantry!  Keep reading to see the recipe.
