D'Oh!
D'oh! That's what I was thinking at 3 am when I was trying to finish these cookies! Now I know why cookie decorators dread doing character cookies. They take FOREVER!
Even though these cookies were extremely labor intensive, I still had fun in the process. I mean really, who doesn't love the Simpsons?!
The cookies were for a 30th birthday party, so I added some "30"s to Homer's belly. I love all the expressions of Homer.
I thought the Duff beer cans would be my quick and easy cookies to make up for the characters, but not so much. They still involved a lot of steps, but I really liked how they broke up the rest of the cookies on the platter.
These cookies were really fun and I love how they turned out, even if they did take a little longer than I anticipated!
These are the best Simpson cookies I've ever seen!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Paula!
DeleteThey may have taken forever, but they were worth it. They look great!

DeleteHow do you do it?? These Simpson cookies are amazing. I totally agree with Paula. I once heard "sleep is overated". Good night!
ReplyDeleteWho needs to sleep when you can eat cookies instead?
DeleteI do, after eating your cookies of course.
Deletethese are great. I kindly say no to character cookies, I need 8 hours, or there is no joy in my life! I am awed by you late night decorators! (wish my darn KK would get here!)
ReplyDeleteThanks Susie! You are going to LOVE your KK!
DeleteThese are amazing! My husband would just love them!
ReplyDeleteYou rock at characters! Characters are the hardest cookies for me because if you make one little mistake, everyone will see it! You did an amazing job on these and thanks for adding them to the link party!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! You're definitely right, character cookies are SCARY! Thanks for hosting all of the link parties! So fun!
