Realistic Science cookies
I've done some cutesy science cookies in the past, but being a scientist doesn't usually involve very many test tubes and beakers. Since I was a scientist in my former life, I get a kick out of merging cookies and real-life science :) Here are a few of my recent attempts!
These were a Christmas gift for a biotech group that included some of the equipment that they use: tanks, chromatography columns, bioreactors. I also created some HPLC and cell viability curves and some schematics of the molecule that they work on :)
These cookies were actually a gift for my husband's team who work on the Gardasil vaccine. The silly little men are actually cartoon versions of the HPV molecules that the vaccine targets (which just goes to show that I can turn anything into a cookie, LOL!). The other cookies are filters and other products that they use in the process to make the vaccine.
And finally, a gift box for a scientist that included more chromatograms and a Soxhlet extractor that he uses in his lab!

Kids' character cookies
I have been such a terrible blogger lately! There are so many cookies that I have to share with you from the past year. I'm trying to get better though, I promise.
The benefit of neglecting my blog saving up pictures for a long time is that I have a lot of cookies to share for each post. Yesterday's theme was football; today it's character cookies!
These cute little football-shaped Dora faces were thanks to Sweet Sugarbelle's awesome Dora tutorial. Character cookies can be very daunting, so thank goodness for Callye. She is the best!
I made these Thomas the Tank cookies last year for my son, Oliver's 2nd birthday:
I kept them simple by just doing the side view without any faces. He loved them!
These adorable personalized Curious George cookies were for one of Oliver's bestest friend's birthday party :)
These might not technically be characters, but close enough ;) I loved how graphic these Monster High party favors were!
Superheroes are definitely one of the most popular cookie requests that I get. Hulk was a new one for me in this set:
And of course there's Olaf.
Because who doesn't love this happy little snowman?
And just in case you need a few snowflakes for your Frozen party:

Football Season!
Are you ready for some football?!
Football season is here, so it's about time I shared some of the football cookies that I made last year :)
Cookies are great for tailgates! These were for a Penn State vs Maryland game:
And these were for an Army vs Navy game (obviously for Army fans!):
Cookies also make great gifts for football fans! These are my personal faves (since I'm from Philly and all):
Go birds!

We're back!
Well, it was a busy summer at Jaclyn's Cookies this year, we just weren't baking any cookies! My husband and I welcomed Genevieve Grace into our family on July 18, 2015. Everyone is doing great, including her big brother who is completely infatuated with his baby sister.
We're going to start off slowly this fall with a couple of orders per week until we get into the swing of things. My son Oliver just started preschool, so I'm hoping that gives me some time to work on orders!
We are currently accepting custom orders for October 5 and beyond. You can request cookies using the custom request form on our website.
Pre-designed gift packages will be available in our Etsy shop beginning on October 5 as well. We'll have a selection of new baby, birthday and thank you gifts, as well as some Halloween and Thanksgiving cookies.
Thank you all so much for your patience while we were on maternity leave and for your support over the years! We're excited to be back in the kitchen!
