Graduation Cookies

Graduation season is coming!

Here's a roundup of the graduation cookies that I did last year.  I'm looking forward to lots more grad cookies this year!

Of course, since we're located in Charlottesville, VA, there were lots of UVA cookies!  Here's a package for a PhD graduate:

And one for a law school grad:

These were personalized Penn State favors:

This was a cookie platter for a La Salle College High School graduate who was starting at Clemson University:

 And the Clemson Tiger cookies:

This was a platter for twin (basketball playing) girls who graduated from Walt Whitman High School and were attending Lehigh University the following fall:

And finally, these were cookie favors for a Notre Dame Prep School graduation.  Their classic uniform with saddle shoes is a big part of the tradition of the school.   The graduate was entering the Naval Academy the following fall.

Penn State "THON" Cookies

Penn State graduation cookies

I've known Sandra pretty much since she was born, so it's crazy to think that she just graduated from Penn State.  Sandra was super involved at PSU, particularly with their annual dance marathon, or "Thon", that raises money for pediatric cancer.

Penn State THON cookies

For her graduation celebration, I created cookies based on the "THON" themes for the past 4 years.  I also included a few "FTK" cookies, which stands for "For The Kids".  And of course, no Penn State graduation platter is complete without a few Nittany lions and paw prints!

Congratulations Sandra!  I'm so proud of you and can't believe you're already done college!!

Rockin' Graduation Cookies

Graduation cookie platter

Happy Memorial Day everyone!  Unfortunately I don't have any patriotic cookies to share today.  I took a break from cookies this weekend and went white water rafting in West Virginia.  We had an absolutely amazing time camping and rafting the New River.  I highly recommend it!

So, no Memorial Day cookies today, but I did make these cookies recently for my cousin Michael's graduation party.

They had the coolest invitations for the party.  They looked exactly like concert tickets and I just had to make some matching cookies!

Mike is an awesome musician, so I included some replicas of his favorite guitar, a Gibson Les Paul Goldtop.  His band played during the party and they were AMAZING.  I loved their classic rock style.

This was one awesome high school graduation party.  I'm so glad that I could contribute with some cookies!  Congratulations Michael!

Penn State Graduation

Penn State cookie

I can't believe it, but my "little" brother just graduated college from Penn State!  I'm proud of you Matt!  My family headed up to State College, PA a few weeks ago (Cinco de Mayo weekend) to celebrate Penn State style.

Of course, I made some cookies to bring to the graduation / Cinco de Mayo party that night.

And forced Matt to pose for pictures with the cookies in his cap and gown :)

My cousin Kelly was a bit more enthusiastic for the photo shoot :)

How cute is this little photographer?!  This is my cousin's daughter, Mackenzie, who was very focused on getting some great shots during our photo shoot!

I had a great time spending time with my family in State College.  We ate, we drank, we hit pinatas that were filled with mini liquor bottles, we sang about red solo cups...

We even got to practice icing cupcakes with Mackenzie!

I digress, but she's just too cute not to share!  Anyway, back to the cookies...

Congratulations to Matt and all the other 2012 grads!  I promise life isn't that bad after college.  Eventually you'll find a job, make some money, and be grateful that you never have to stay up late doing homework ever again (hopefully)!

Congrats Grads!

Congratulations to all of the 2011 graduates out there!

Whew, sorry this post is a little belated, but things have been very busy around here!  I had a couple of graduation requests this year that I've been wanting to share with you.

This set was for a University of Arizona graduation party.

And these cute little mini graduation caps were for a Hatboro-Horsham High School graduation party.

Congratulations Class of 2011!

St. Martin's School Auction

Recently I was very excited to participate in a school auction to benefit St. Martin of Tour's Catholic School in Gaithersburg, MD.  This year, the kindergarten class put together a basket full of cooking and baking related items.  I was more than happy to contribute a few cookies for the basket as well as a coupon for more cookies.

Check out this awesome collection of stuff that the kindergarten class collected:

Love those Christmas plates and matching cookie cutters!  My cookies are attached to the front of the basket.  Here's a close up:

I had lots of fun making these cookies.  Hopefully the lucky winner of the auction enjoyed them!
