Football Season!

Are you ready for some football?!

Football season is here, so it's about time I shared some of the football cookies that I made last year :)

Cookies are great for tailgates!  These were for a Penn State vs Maryland game:

And these were for an Army vs Navy game (obviously for Army fans!):

Cookies also make great gifts for football fans!  These are my personal faves (since I'm from Philly and all):

Lacrosse Logos

Meet the Dickinson Lacrosse Red Devil.

These logo cookies were no joke, and I did 100 of them a while back.  Let's just say my hand needed a couple days off after this order ;)

Luckily I really like how these bad boys turned out, and the Dickinson Lacrosse team did too!  I'm looking forward to doing them again next year :)

Sports-themed baby cookies

These twin lion cookies were made to celebrate my new twin cousins!  The cookies were designed based on their dad's super cute book "Declan Grows Up".

Welcome to the world Chase and Pierce!

Surf-Themed Corporate Gift

surfing cookie gift

So, anyone on the east coast need a change of pace from all the snow and ice?!  These surfing-themed cookies should do the trick :)

logo cookies

Working on these cookies definitely had me dreaming about summer.  They were requested by the Interactive Television Alliance as a gift for the designer of their new logo.  Of course, we had to include a few cookie versions of the logo :)

surf-themed cookies

The recipient is a California boy who loves to surf, so the rest of the cookies included surfboards, Hawaiian shirts, board shorts, and beach balls.  Thank you to Callye from Sweet Sugarbelle for the Hawaiian shirt tutorial!

surfer gift

These cookies headed off to Santa Monica, where they can actually go surfing in February!  At least I think so...  We're still sledding these days in Virginia, so it's hard for me to imagine any temperatures higher than 40 degrees!

Fore!

golf themed birthday cookies

There's been lots of golf cookies around here recently!  This was a custom gift package for a 60th birthday.

And this was another custom Thank You package.  Luckily they were ordered in the same week so I could reuse all of my colors.  Love when that happens!

Preakness Cookies

Preakness cookies

I made these cookies for a Preakness party this year.  Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take pictures before they were packaged, but hopefully you get the idea!  There were several complicated designs in this set, including Maryland state flags, Preakness logos, and Gentleman Jack whiskey bottles.  Those Maryland flags were killers!

jockey silk cookies

I made several of the jockey's silks who were going to be racing in the Preakness.  The winner was Oxbow, whose black and yellow silk is in the back!

Surfboards and Hibiscus Flowers

surfboard and hibiscus cookies

I made these cookies so long ago that I don't even remember what they were for.  I'm pretty sure it was to celebrate a new addition to the family.

surfboard cookies

I guess I was just waiting for summer to roll around again before I shared them :)

P.S. Don't these kids have such cool names?  You can totally tell that they have a hot mama and a cool dad :)

Did you know...

...that quidditch is a real sport?!?

quidditch cookies

Well it is!  Apparently, colleges all over the world now have club quidditch teams!  As a Harry Potter fan, I was pretty excited about this.

These cookies were ordered as a birthday surprise for the captain of the Denison University quidditch team.

For those of you who aren't familiar with quidditch (*gasp*), that's the International Quidditch.Association logo, broomsticks, a golden snitch, and quidditch goal posts.

I hope you enjoyed your cookies, Inbar!

Yankees birthday cookies

Baseball season is officially upon us, so I thought it would be a good time to share these birthday cookies that I made last year for a Yankees fan!

13th Birthday Cookies

These cookies were created for a 13 year old birthday boy.  Jack plays football for his local township team and, like any 13 year old boy, likes to play video games!  So we decided on a variety of footballs, jerseys in his team colors, XBox controllers, and happy birthday cookies for his cookie gift.

Sporty Cookies

I think it's time to buy a sneaker cookie cutter.  Over the past couple of weeks, I've had 2 different requests  for shoe cookies, which I unfortunately don't have a cutter for.  I decided to accommodate the requests by modifying a large candy corn cutter, which worked well in a pinch, but hand cutting is always kind of a pain in the behind.  Time to go shopping!

One of the sneaker requests was for a little boy named Julian who just started playing soccer.  Julian's favorite toy is his green ATV, so I included a few of those too.  The ATV kind of turned out looking like a tractor, so I'll probably make some changes to that design if I have to do it again, but hopefully he knew what it was :)

soccer cookies

The other request was for a woman who was training to run the NYC marathon.  Sadly, the marathon was cancelled due to the tragic events of Hurricane Sandy, but hopefully "Bean" still enjoyed her cookies.

Outdoorsy Engagement Cookies

engagement party cookies

This super fun collection of cookies was created for an engagement party for an outdoorsy couple.  The request was for surfing and rock climbing themed cookies, along with some sapphire rings to match the bride-to-be's new engagement ring.  I absolutely adore the bright color scheme that was used for these cookies.

Rock climber cookies

I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of in love with these rock climbers.  Maybe I'm biased because I really like rock climbing as well, but I really like how they turned out :)

Surfboard cookies

The surfboards I've done before, but they're still some of my favorite cookies.  The color scheme for the party was yellow and gray, so I used a lot of yellow throughout all of the cookies, and added some touches of gray to the surfboards.

Sapphire ring cookies

I've had this ring cookie cutter forever and finally used it for the first time for this order!  I used Wilton Silver Color Mist spray to give these cookies some shimmer.  One tip if you're using the spray- cut out a piece of paper to cover the inner circle of the ring before you spray.  That way only your ring will be sparkly, not the cookie in the center.

Surfer Girl Cookies

Last night I had a very depressing realization that it was only 7:30 pm and it was completely dark outside. Between the shorter days and the fact that it's been 45 degrees and raining here in MD is really making me miss summer.  At least I can still pretend with these fun surfer cookies...

These were made for a girl's birthday party with a surfing theme.  I thought they came out really cute and they're the perfect cure for the end of summer blues!

The color scheme for this party was super fun and it inspired me to create a couple of new summer packages on the website.  These are now available for purchase, along with the surfboards!

Frosting for the Cause

Want to learn how to make these cookies?

Check out my guest post today on Frosting for the Cause!   The post contains my sugar cookie recipe as well as a step by step tutorial on how to make these Chuck Taylor cookies.

Frosting for the Cause is a fantastic charity that is dedicated to Woman's Cancer awareness, and has a goal of raising over $9,000 for cancer research this year.  I was fortunate enough to be able to contribute to this cause by donating cookies to the inspiring people at Hospice Caring in Gaithersburg, MD.  I'm so grateful to be able to participate in such a great cause, and as an added bonus I was able to re-live some great memories of my Pop!
