Pearls, Lace and Ruffles

Today I'm sharing one of my favoritest orders ever.  I mean, how gorgeous is this first birthday theme!?

Little Arielle turned one, and her Mom had the most swoon-worthy birthday party that was filled with ruffles, lace and pearls.

So gorgeous and girly!

I just love these ruffly little onesies :)

I've made buttercream roses on cupcakes before, but never on cookies with royal icing.  I love them!  The gold painted edges really made these pop.

90th birthday cookies

Seeing as how my grandmom is almost 91 years young, I think it's about time that I shared her 90th birthday cookies!  My "Mom-Mom" wears a lot of different hats and means so much to so many people.  I wanted to capture her many names on her cookies!



I had fun recreating these poppy cookies for her from the party supplies :)

1st Birthday Pow Wow Party

I seriously have the best customers who send me the most adorable, creative party themes to work with.  How cute is this "pumpkin pow wow" party theme!

Roland's mom bought him this teepee from the Land of Nod, so we made matching teepee cookies for the party.

The party colors were black, white, kraft brown, orange, turquoise and gold.  The customer wanted to incorporate lots of arrows and triangles in the designs, so this is what we came up with!  I think the "ONE" cookies were my favorite, and I just love the pops of color and shine.

Roland's mom was also kind enough to send some pictures from the party.  How adorable is this table?!

Happy first birthday Roland!  I'm looking forward to making lots more birthday cookies for you over the years!

I Love the 80s

When I got a request for 80's cookies right before I closed for maternity leave, how could I say no?!

I'm a child of the 80's and definitely loved rocking the mix tapes on my boombox :)  I was never allowed to watch MTV when I was little, which of course meant that I watched as much as possible every time I was at a friend's house ;)

I also REALLY loved my Nintendo.  The old school one, no Super Nintendo over here.  Mario and Tetris were two of my faves, along with Mega Man.  Remember him?!  No cookies of him this time, but there were some Donkey Kong and Zelda in this 30th birthday package :)

Little Lamb Baby Shower

This was another baby shower theme that I just adored!  It was a "Mary Had a Little Lamb" baby shower in pretty pastel colors.  I thought the color scheme was just gorgeous :)

I love that I get requests for so many creative party themes.  My job is completely different every week.  It definitely keeps things fun!

Changing it up from the last few posts to show you these sweet baptism cookies.  The pale pink, green and white color scheme was so pretty for these cookies.  I wish that I took more pictures!  I think that the monogrammed "E" with a subtle floral background was my favorite.

More baby cookies today!  Here's a couple of baby boy cookie platters that I've done recently.

This baby boy shower platter included lots of cookies with baby Rhys' name and monogram :)

This nautical platter mixed things up by substituting yellow instead of the red that's commonly used.  I love how it looked with the teal color too!

I promised you more baby cookies and here they are!

These simple pink and turquoise bird cookies were created for a baby girl shower.  They were bagged and hung from a tree at the shower :).

I loved these pink and mint nautical cookies that I did for twin girls.  They were created to match the shower invitation.  And how cute is that SS Little Ladies cookie? ;)

Gender Neutral Baby Shower Cookies

I've done so many baby cookies over the past several months that I thought I'd round them up into a few baby-themed posts.  This first post has LOTS of fun ideas for gender neutral or mixed gender baby showers!

This was a fun, colorful baby platter for Alexis's gender neutral baby shower.

These bumble bee-themed baby cookies with bows and mustaches are perfect for a gender neutral baby shower or gender reveal party!

I loved these autumn-themed baby cookies for Harper.

These were more adorable cookies for a rubber ducky-themed baby shower for twins.

I've posted these baby jungle animal cookies before, but this was a fun personalized version that each shower guest received.

These "sprinkled with love" cookies were from a sprinkle that I hosted for a friend.  They were blue for a baby boy but would be perfect for boy or girl!

And finally, these simple, elegant pink and blue "Baby" onesies are perfect for a gender reveal, boy and girl twins shower, or a gender neutral shower.

Disney Princess Tea Party!

For her princess tea party, the birthday girl requested tea pots and cups, princess dresses, and Frozen snowflakes.  She specifically wanted:  purple for Sophia, blue for Elsa, green/blue for Ariel, yellow for Belle, pink for Aurora, and Snow White.  So, here they are!

 I couldn't make Disney princess cookies without including Cinderella, so I threw one of those in too :)  

Love that shine on Elsa's dress!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

These were super sparkly cookies for a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star baby shower.

The moon cookies had a subtle shine from pearl color mist spray.  The stars used both American Gold (darker gold color) and Hologram Gold (brighter, more colorful gold) disco dust.

Needless to say my kitchen was sparkling for a long time after this order!

Sesame Street Cookies Part 2

Yay!  I got to make more Sesame Street Cookies!

This time it was Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Grover, Zoe, Abby, and Elmo for a 2 year old birthday party.  To see the other Sesame street cookies check out this post.

The newer characters like Zoe and Abby (oh Abby) are so much more complicated than the older ones.  I'm blaming computers for that one.

I attempted to capture Abby's crazy hair by swirling pink and purple icing, letting it dry, and then piping purple on top for texture.  Top that off with some yellow flower barrettes and she was finished.  I think she turned out OK.  I'll still do 100 Cookie Monsters over Abby Cadabby though!

I was way more happy with my Sesame Street sign this time.

I used slightly thicker icing along with my dehydrator, so no annoying icing cave ins.  It ALWAYS makes my day when I come down in the morning and find out my icing didn't crater :)

Science Cookies

How fun are these colors for a science-themed 7th birthday party?!  I loved the atoms, test tubes and flasks that the birthday girl requested.

I also recently created these science-themed cookies for a PhD graduation party.  More test tubes and flasks, as well as beakers.  The customer also requested some periodic table elements, which I LOVED!

As a former scientist, I always get a kick out of making science cookies :)

Nautical Baby Shower Cookies

Ack!  Summer is almost over and I still have more nautical cookies to show you!!!

Forgive me, I think there's one more nautical post after this one, but these are TOO adorable to wait until next summer.

These are a seriously fun set of cookies.  I hope I get to do them again.  Puhleeeease someone order them...wink wink ;)
