Video Game Cookies

video game cookies

These cookies were favors for a video game-themed bar mitzvah.  They were all of my fave characters:  Pac-Man, Mario and Angry Birds along with Wii and Xbox controllers.

Here's some close-ups. Sorry for the crummy pictures, I took these at night.  :(

I had fun with some edible markers on these Mario cookies:

Big thanks to Sweet Sugarbelle for her Angry Birds tutorials.  It definitely made these cookies easier!

Sesame Street Cookies Part 2

Sesame Street Cookies

Yay!  I got to make more Sesame Street Cookies!

This time it was Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Grover, Zoe, Abby, and Elmo for a 2 year old birthday party.  To see the other Sesame street cookies check out this post.

Sesame Street Character cookies

The newer characters like Zoe and Abby (oh Abby) are so much more complicated than the older ones.  I'm blaming computers for that one.

I attempted to capture Abby's crazy hair by swirling pink and purple icing, letting it dry, and then piping purple on top for texture.  Top that off with some yellow flower barrettes and she was finished.  I think she turned out OK.  I'll still do 100 Cookie Monsters over Abby Cadabby though!

I was way more happy with my Sesame Street sign this time.

I used slightly thicker icing along with my dehydrator, so no annoying icing cave ins.  It ALWAYS makes my day when I come down in the morning and find out my icing didn't crater :)

Science Cookies

science birthday party cookies

How fun are these colors for a science-themed 7th birthday party?!  I loved the atoms, test tubes and flasks that the birthday girl requested.

science graduation cookies

I also recently created these science-themed cookies for a PhD graduation party.  More test tubes and flasks, as well as beakers.  The customer also requested some periodic table elements, which I LOVED!

Here's a few of the elements, in (very) loose periodic table order:

As a former scientist, I always get a kick out of making science cookies :)

Tea Party Bridal Shower

tea party bridal shower favors

These cookie favors were made for a tea party themed bridal shower.  The tea pot cookies were modeled after the invitation.

I loved the peach, mint green and light pink color scheme for this shower.

Travel-Themed Gift

travel cookies

I recently received a request for a custom thank you gift for a travel agent.  The agent helped my customer plan a trip to the Grand Canyon and she wanted to send a thank gift for planning their fabulous vacation.

travel-themed cookies

There were a lots of "firsts" for me in this package.  Believe it or not, it's the first time I've actually used my airplane cutter.  Also the first time I've done a globe, stacked suitcases, US Passports, and a hand-cut United States cookie!

Here they are all boxed up for shipment.  They're also available for sale on my Etsy page!

Caps for CAP

I made these police cap and captains hat cookies a while back for a fella named Cap :)

I'm pretty sure it was his birthday, but really I don't even remember anymore.

I DO remember those teeny little logos though!  That was a challenge to capture the Montgomery Co Police logo on a tiny little hat :)
